The Consortium of Flat and Villa Owners’ Association has criticized the decision to increase the tariff on drinking water supplied in tanker lorries.
Calling it unjustifiable and unilateral, the association stated that many people depend on water delivered by tanker lorries due to the unavailability of water from the Kerala Water Authority.
It reminded that a previous decision by tanker lorry operators to raise the tariff by up to 55% had been frozen by the District Collector. The association will commence an agitation if there is any delay in reversing the hike, according to a release.
