Adelaide Strikers Lock In 13-Player WBBL|11 Squad for High-Stakes Opener Against Melbourne Stars

The Prime News Network confirms the Adelaide Strikers have finalized their competitive 13-player roster for the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL|11) season debut against the Melbourne Stars, set for Monday, November 10 at Melbourne’s CitiPower Centre.

Tahlia McGrath will lead the side as captain with Australian fast-bowling star Megan Schutt appointed vice-captain. The Strikers’ marquee overseas trio – England’s Tammy Beaumont and Sophie Ecclestone alongside South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt – all return fresh from T20 World Cup duties and are cleared for immediate selection.

Head coach Luke Williams emphasized his squad’s readiness for the high-pressure Melbourne fixture: “Our WBBL|11 campaign begins with genuine momentum Monday. This roster blends proven Strikers champions with electrifying new talent – exactly the dynamic balance needed for championship contention. Facing the Stars on their home ground demands absolute focus, but this group thrives under challenge and we’re locked in for the opportunities ahead.”

Complete WBBL|11 Squad: Jemma Barsby, Tammy Beaumont, Darcie Brown, Sophie Ecclestone, Ellie Johnston, Tahlia McGrath, Bridget Patterson, Maddie Penna, Megan Schutt, Tabatha Saville, Amanda-Jade Wellington, Ella Wilson, Laura Wolvaardt.
