A Passenger Dies After Falling from Moving Train at Secunderabad Railway Station

A 40-year-old man from Jharkhand tragically lost his life after falling from a moving train at Secunderabad Railway Station on Friday, May 2, 2025. The incident occurred when the deceased, identified as Pavan Kumar, a resident of Sonpurwa in Garhwa district, attempted to board the Danapur Express from platform number 8. While trying to board, he lost his balance and fell into the gap between the track and the platform.

The police reported that the incident happened when Pavan Kumar was boarding from the Hyderabad-end of the platform, near the foot overbridge. Upon receiving a call, officials from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) in Secunderabad arrived at the scene and pulled him out. He was immediately taken to Gandhi Hospital, where duty doctors declared him dead.

The body was sent for postmortem examination. Authorities stated that the body would be handed over to the deceased’s family after the completion of medico-legal formalities. A case has been booked, and the investigation is ongoing.
