CPI(M) Leader Nepaldeb Bhattacharya Passes Away in Kolkata

Former Rajya Sabha MP and SFI General Secretary, Nepaldeb Bhattacharya, has passed away in Kolkata on Tuesday (May 13, 2025), according to a statement from the CPI(M) leadership.

Bhattacharya, who was also a labor leader and a former member of the CPI(M) State committee, died at a private hospital in south Kolkata. He was 75 years old and was suffering from old-age-related health issues.

The party leader said Bhattacharya is survived by his wife. Bhattacharya was a Rajya Sabha member from 1981 to 1988.
