Mother Dairy Hikes Milk Prices to Offset Rising Costs
Mother Dairy has increased milk prices by up to 2 per litre starting Wednesday, April 30, 2025, to help offset rising input costs. The price hike will be effective across its market.
The company, a leading dairy producer, said the price revision is necessary due to a significant increase in procurement costs, which have risen by 4-5 per litre over the past few months. The surge in costs is primarily attributed to early summer and heatwave conditions.
Mother Dairy sells approximately 35 lakh litres of milk per day in the Delhi-NCR market through its own outlets, general trade, and e-commerce platforms. The company aims to ensure consistent quality milk availability while supporting farmer livelihoods.
This price hike represents only a partial pass-through of increased costs, aiming to balance the interests of both farmers and consumers. The prices of various milk products have been adjusted as follows:
- Toned milk (bulk vended) will cost 56 per litre in Delhi-NCR, up from 54 per litre.
- Full cream milk (pouched) will cost 69 per litre, up from 68 per litre.
- Double toned milk will cost 51 per litre, up from 49 per litre.
- Cow milk will cost 59 per litre, up from 57 per litre.
The company remains committed to ensuring the availability of quality milk while supporting farmer livelihoods.
