In recent rallies, Chief Minister Banerjee has been loud in his criticism of the Union Government, stating that the state has yet to receive Rs. 1.75 lakh crore in various centrally-sponsored schemes. These include the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) and Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).

This drew attention because during a rally in Alipurduar, West Bengal last week, Prime Minister Modi himself criticized West Bengal’s state government on corruption.

Moreover, during a rally in Kolkata, Union Home Minister Amit Shah echoed these criticisms, launching another attack on the West Bengal government over corruption issues.
