NIA, IB, and military intelligence officials are investigating Haryana YouTuber, Jyoti Malhotra, who was arrested for allegedly implicating Pakistan in espionage, according to police. She was booked under the Official Secrets Act and the BNS. A probe into her financial transactions and travel details is underway. Malhotra, 33, was arrested from New Aggarsain Extension on May 16th. Malhotra is just one of 12 people apprehended in north India over the past two weeks in connection with espionage charges. Investigations point to a Pakistan-linked spy network operating in north India. She visited Pakistan, China, and other countries during her travels, leading to a forensic analysis of her laptop and questioning of individuals she interacted with. According to police, Malhotra was allegedly in touch with Pakistani intelligence operatives during India-Pakistan military operations. Her social media channel, with 3.87 lakh subscribers, was formerly a source of intelligence information in Pak-Kashmir. Malhotra allegedly corresponded with Ehsan-ur-Rahim alias Danish, an employee of the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi who was later expelled for espionage.
