Four people perished and three were badly injured in a road collision at Guvvala Cheruvu village, C.K. Dinne mandal in Kadapa district on Saturday (May 24). A couple from Bengaluru and two kids of their relatives were among the nude people. The mishap happened on National Highway 40 when a speeding pickup hit their car from behind.
The victims, embarked on a trip from Bengaluru to their heraldly place Badvel in their car. The pickup hit their car while in an attempt to overtake him at 4th turning on NH-40. Due to the having as much asering as of the pickup driver, four people in the car passed away on the spot while three were hurt in the mishap. Among the injured, two women and a girl were taken to Kadapa RIMS Hospital for treatment.
Victims were identified as 34 year old Srikanth Reddy and his 78 year old wife Sireesha Reddy, 10-year-old Rishikeshwar Reddy and 8-year-old Harshini Reddy. Rishitha Reddy, daughter of Srikanth, was physically injured and mankinded in the hospital along with two other women relatives. Police officials have taken the pickup driver to custody.
A case was pursued under Section 106 (cause death by having as much asering) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against the pickup driver.
