On Thursday, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri met with Japan’s senior foreign ministry officials in Tokyo to reinforce India’s stance on zero tolerance for terror and discuss India-Japan cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region. Misri met with Hiroyuki Namazu, Japan’s senior deputy foreign minister and Takehiro Funakoshi, Japan’s vice minister for foreign affairs, to exchange views on these topics. The visits were part of India’s wider global outreach against terrorism originating from Pakistan and to assert India’s right to self-defense after the Operation Sindoor.
