As Operation Sindoor winds down and the Opposition raises questions about the ceasefire with Pakistan, the BJP is stepping up its efforts to counter the narrative. Sources say the party will focus on highlighting specific military and non-military achievements, in addition to reiterating decisions taken after the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22. A party leader emphasized the ongoing nature of Operation Sindoor and India’s capability to strike at Pakistan, as well as the “new normal” of taking the heat to terror camps across the border. The party is also preparing a song to underscore the valour of the armed forces and India’s “never-before retaliation” under Modi’s leadership. The BJP is also on a nationwide “Tiranga Yatra” to highlight the success of Operation Sindoor. The party will seek to counter the Congress’s claims about the Modi government’s response to the ceasefire, and will highlight past instances of US interventions under various Congress-led governments.
