Apple CEO Praises Warren Buffett on Social Media
Apple CEO Tim Cook recently praised Warren Buffett, the founder of Berkshire Hathaway, on social media. In a post on the platform X (formerly Twitter), Tim Cook expressed his admiration for Buffett’s wisdom, describing him as the "Oracle of Omaha."
The post, which included a photo of Tim Cook with Warren Buffett, has garnered over 1.1 million views and generated numerous positive responses. Tim Cook wrote, "There’s never been someone like Warren, and countless people, myself included, have been inspired by his wisdom. It’s been one of the great privileges of my life to know him."
Tim Cook also commented on the successor to Warren Buffett as CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, Greg Abel. He said, "And there’s no question that Warren is leaving Berkshire in great hands with Greg."
This mutual praise comes as a surprise, as Buffett initially took a lighthearted tone when he thanked Tim Cook, saying, "I’m somewhat embarrassed to say that Tim Cook has made Berkshire a lot more money than I’ve ever made. Credit should be given to him."
Following Apple’s latest earnings release, Buffett tuned into Tim Cook’s call, which he described as the "only investment quarterly call" he listened to.
Warren Buffett, 94, announced his retirement from leading Berkshire Hathaway by 2025-end and named Greg Abel as his successor. He said, "I think the time has arrived where Greg should become the Chief Executive Officer of the company at year end."
