National Statistics Office (NSO) Releases Second Advance Estimates for FY25 GDP Growth
The National Statistics Office (NSO) has released its second advance estimates for the fiscal year 2025 (FY25), pegging GDP growth at 7.6% for the final quarter of the year (Q4). This estimate includes industrial Gross Value Added (GVA) growth at 5.6%.
Economists’ Concerns
However, economists are concerned that the dip in India’s industrial output growth to 3.6% in the January to March 2025 quarter from 4.1% in the preceding quarter could adversely impact the official GDP growth estimate of 6.5% for 2024-25 by up to 20 basis points (bps).
Latest Update
The NSO’s second advance estimates were released on February 28. The article was last updated on April 29, 2025, at 11:58 PM IST.
