New Delhi: The Department of Expenditure (DoE) under the Ministry of Finance has issued a circular regarding the filling of posts on deputation basis for the 8th Central Pay Commission. The circular proposes to fill up 35 posts in the 8th Central Pay Commission on a deputation basis, with appointments governed by the regular norms prescribed by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT). The circular requests the circulation of this requirement among relevant officials and personnel in organizations.

Meanwhile, a report by the Financial Express states that the ToR (terms of reference) will be notified in two to three weeks. The report also mentions that the chairman and members of the panel will be named simultaneously. An official had said that there is substantial progress on the ToR and members to be appointed for the 8th CPC, and these will be notified in the next 2-3 weeks. The Commission may be given at least one year to compile its report, which would be prepared after in-depth discussions with stakeholders, including the central government, public sector enterprises, and state governments.
