SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2025: Quick Overview

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is set to release the notification for the SSC Stenographer Grade C and D Recruitment 2025 very soon. This recruitment aims to fill various Group ‘C’ and ‘D’ posts across Central Government Ministries, Departments, and Organizations. Eligible 12th-pass candidates proficient in stenography can apply online through the SSC official website beginning the release date expected at the end of June.

Vacancy & Qualification

Stenographer Grade C: 12th Pass + Stenography Skill
Stenographer Grade D: 12th Pass + Stenography Skill

Age Limit

Stenographer Grade C: 18 to 30 years
Stenographer Grade D: 18 to 27 years
- Age relaxation is available as per government rules for SC, ST, OBC, PwD, and other categories.

Selection Process

Computer-Based Test (CBT): Objective-type questions
Skill Test in Stenography: Candidates passing CBT will undergo a shorthand typing skill test.

Exam Pattern

English Language & Comprehension: 100 questions, 100 marks, 120 minutes
General Intelligence & Reasoning: 50 questions, 50 marks, 2 hours
Total 200 questions, 200 marks, 120 minutes
Negative marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer
