UPDATE: The Indian Medical Association of Ayodhya has expressed dissatisfaction with the dictatorial behavior of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Sushil Kumar Baliyan. According to reports, Baliyan is deliberately targeting qualified doctors and hospitals without providing any notices and ignoring rules, taking arbitrary actions against private hospitals.

Dr. Pravern Maurya, secretary of the Indian Medical Association, stated that on Sunday, Baliyan sealed a qualified surgeon’s Ayushman Bharat hospital in Rudauli without any valid reason, as the surgeon is a senior member of the IMA and a renowned expert.

Maurya said that on Monday, the IMA will convene a meeting and send a delegation to the CMO to register a protest and demand for streamlined procedures related to private hospitals and a transparent system to reverse all illegal actions taken against the hospitals. “If the CMO does not stop his arbitrary actions against medical professionals, all private doctors may face a strike,” Maurya emphasized.

According to the CMO office, half a dozen private hospitals have been sealed for non-compliance with rules and show cause notices issued.
