Shraddha Kapoor Bags High Remuneration for Ekta Kapoor’s Next
After the massive success of "Stree 2," Shraddha Kapoor has become the most sought-after actress in Indian cinema. Despite offers from top Hindi and South Indian studios, she has chosen to take on a standalone female lead role in a high-concept thriller produced by Ekta Kapoor. A source confirms that Shraddha will be paid Rs. 17 crore upfront for her next project, which is set to begin filming in the second half of 2025.
The film, directed by Rahi Anil Barve, is currently in pre-production and is expected to hit the floors by September 2025. This is the highest upfront fee received by Shraddha Kapoor and one of the highest pay cheques for a female lead in Hindi cinema. Ekta Kapoor was thrilled to invest Rs. 17 crore to sign Shraddha, as her film will be her follow-up to the blockbuster "Stree 2."
In addition to the upfront acting fee, Shraddha has a profit-sharing clause in her agreement. She will receive a percentage of the profits post-release, in addition to the Rs. 17 crore acting fee. This makes her the highest-paid female lead in Hindi cinema, just behind Deepika Padukone.
