Raid 2, starring Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh, is taking full advantage of no competition at the box office. The movie showed a significant jump on its second Sunday, grossing over Rs 120 crore. The ceasefire between India and Pakistan has boosted the box office, as moviegoers rushed to catch the last big-screen release.
Raid 2 is enjoying a major hold at cinemas, and it has crossed Rs 160 crore worldwide. Early estimates show a major growth from Saturday. On its second Sunday, Raid 2 earned Rs 11.75 crore, taking the India collection to Rs 120.75 crore. The worldwide gross is Rs 148.20 crore, with Sunday’s domestic collection bringing it to Rs 159 crore.
Raid 2 had an average occupancy of 29.79% on Sunday, with morning shows at 12.03%, afternoon shows at 33.34%, and evening shows at 43.90%. This makes Raid 2 the second biggest hit of 2025.
Will Riteish Deshmukh return in Raid 3?
The director, Raj Kumar Gupta, hinted at the possibility of a shared universe concept in Raid 2. When asked about Riteish Deshmukh’s return in Raid 3, the actor said, "Hum bhi aa jayenge, Saurabh ki 2-3 shots de denge (laughed)." With the success of Raid 2, the third instalment will definitely be greenlit, and Riteish will probably return with Saurabh.
