Delhi Weather Update: Heavy Rain and Thunderstorms Bring Relief from Heat

Residents of the national capital woke up to heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms on Friday morning, bringing much-needed relief from the sweltering heat. Parts of NCR, including Noida, also experienced fresh showers.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued red alerts for Delhi and yellow and orange alerts for Noida, Meerut, Gurugram, Ghaziabad, and Faridabad due to the heavy downpour.

Passengers are requested to contact the airline concerned for updated flight information," Delhi Airport said.
