President Names Justice V. Kameswar Rao Acting Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court
Effective from the date Chief Justice N. V. Anjaria retires, Justice V. Kameswar Rao, a senior judge of the High Court of Karnataka, will serve as the acting Chief Justice.
Born on August 7, 1965, Justice Kameswar Rao earned his law degree from Delhi University and enrolled in 1991 as an advocate with the Bar Council of Delhi. After practicing before various courts, he was designated as a senior advocate by the Delhi High Court in 2010.
- Appointed as an additional judge of the Delhi High Court on April 17, 2013
- Elevated to permanent judge on March 18, 2015
- Appointed as a judge of the High Court of Karnataka on June 1, 2024
- Currently serves as the Executive Chairperson of the Karnataka State Legal Services Authority
