The victory of Donald Trump in the U.S presidential election has been a significant win for Hindus, according to a key Indian American donor to the President-elect. Shalabh Shalli Kumar, founder of the Republican Hindu Coalition (RHC), believes that Mr. Trump will strengthen India-U.S relations and work together to fight “radical Islamic terrorism.” Mr. Kumar, who contributed nearly a million dollars to the Trump campaign, said that Indian American Hindus have voted for Mr. Trump in large numbers during this election. He also mentioned that a Pakistani American businessman close to the Trump campaign is in touch with the Pakistan government to persuade it to take more effective measures against terrorists. Mr. Kumar emphasized that a Trump administration will not be business as usual, as the military and the ISI promote terrorism against India.
