Congress MP Shashi Tharoor slammed Delhi Airport on Thursday, calling it “dysfunctional.” Despite delays, he managed to reach Thiruvananthapuram on time to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi ahead of the Vizhinjam Port commission. Tharoor shared his experience on social media, stating, “Despite delays at the dysfunctional Delhi airport, I managed to land in Thiruvananthapuram in time to receive Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his arrival in my constituency.” He also expressed his anticipation for the official commissioning of the Vizhinjam port, a project he has been proud to be involved with since its inception. Earlier, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also shared a picture of himself at the Delhi Airport, slamming it for delays. The airport had been facing flight delays due to weather conditions and a runway closure for construction work. Strong winds, heavy rainfall, and thunderstorms led to flight delays and disruptions in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) on Friday.
