The National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) and ONDC have reaffirmed their strong partnership, working together more strategically than ever to support the growth and digital empowerment of food businesses across the country.
Refuting reports that NRAI has withdrawn from ONDC, the two entities have stated that their engagement with ONDC is ongoing and purposeful. They are currently building a viable and scalable model through discussions with the Food Council, which includes participation from restaurateurs and network participants.
Marichi Mathur, SVP at ONDC, said, "We have an ongoing engagement with NRAI and together, we are working to build an inclusive, transparent, and interoperable network that empowers millions of restaurants and food brands to participate in digital commerce on their own terms."
This partnership is crucial for driving access, visibility, and equitable growth for food businesses of all sizes, from neighborhood outlets to national brands. Mathur added, "We are exploring innovative pathways that benefit both industry stakeholders and consumers."
NRAI has always been committed to enabling restaurants to participate in digital commerce on equitable and transparent terms. As the network matures and its leadership evolves, NRAI is aligning its engagement to ensure long-term value creation for its members.
